My Apologies to Nintendo…

I’m a teacher. I’ve taught … umm… everything. Government, Economics, Journalism, U.S. History, World History, Graphic Design, Yearbook, Bible Classes…

Yup. I’ve taught everything – and I love it when I can do a mashup of multiple subjects. So check it out. In my classes I am having my students create modern interpretations of the Parable of The Good Samaritan. And have you ever noticed that sometimes students need to have a clear “vision” of what the project is so that they can succeed?

So I decided to mashup my love for Graphic Design, Video Games (Mario specifically), and Parables into this little booklet I call: “Who is The True Hero?” I wanted my students to see what I would consider a quality product.

There are a few pages that are rough around the edges but for the most part I’m pretty pleased with the results. So over the next couple of days I’ll post a series of pages from the booklet!

Is this the strangest design mashup you’ve seen? Nintendo and Parables? Nintendables?

And if you’re interested, by the end of the week you could collect all of them, place them on 8.5 x 11 paper and print out your own “Who is The True Hero?” book for story time! See? Everybody wins!
